- “Preach the ‘Good News’ to the poor”:
Anyone who has not heard the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, is poor no matter what his (her) financial status is. It is the riches of heaven that takes us out of poor status!
- “Release to the captives”:
Ephesians 2:1-6 says that anyone without Christ, in their lives are under the control of the demon force of darkness. Therefore Christ’s sacrifice brings a release from the control of our enemy, the devil!
- “Bring recovery of the sight to the blind”:
The bible says that satan has blinded the eyes of the unbelievers (2 Cor 4:4), but Jesus came to change this and open our eyes that we can see the light of the Glory of the Gospel of Christ!
- “To send forth delivered those who are oppressed, downtrodden, bruised and crushed”:
The goal of the gospel is restoration, healing, deliverance, and walking in victory.
- “Proclaim the ‘Good News’”:
It is up to us to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ - The only way to God, The Kingdom of God and Heaven!
